Really knows what they are doing in terms of treatment. Treated my knee and migraine. I could walk on my left leg as my knees was really damaged and Jen treated it to the point I could walk and feel little pain now.

Jen and her team have been treating me for a few years now. They're always very professional and caring. The clinic is clean and well maintained. For those who are concerned for covid safety, Jen's clinic maintains a great ventilation standard (we measured it with an Aranet) and she also runs an air purifier. I really recommend them.

The team at Pro Health Clinic have done wonders to my shoulder injury. I’ve been to multiple physios over the years with no success. After just one visit to this clinic, I immediately felt a massive difference and now and fully recovered. I am so grateful!!! I have referred my whole family to see them and they also speak very highly of their experiences. Would highly recommend ???

5 Simple Ways to Relieve Bursitis Pain

Number 1

Apply An Ice Pack To The Area

Applying an ice pack to the area can help to reduce the intensity of the pain around the site of your bursitis.

A cold pack can be applied for 5 – 10 minutes up to 3 times per day in the area of pain.

Never apply ice directly onto the skin but instead wrap it in a tea towel to avoid irritation of even a possible burn to the skin.

Avoid High Impact Exercise

High impact exercise refers to any exercise where you leave the ground and land again such as skipping or running or even aerobics class. Whilst there is inflammation and pain in the tissues in and around your bursitis, it is best to avoid high impact exercise as the joint ability to cope with and absorb impact is likely to be affected at this time.

Our Chiropractor will be happy to advise you as to when it is appropriate to reintroduce exercise and will give you lots of strategies to stop the injury from recurring.

Keep Moving

It is important to keep moving as this will help:

Support at Night

It is really common to have difficulty sleeping when you have bursitis pain as it can often be hard to get comfortable and painful to lie on the injured side.

If you have bursitis pain in your elbow or shoulder, try using a pillow underneath your elbow when lying on your back can help to support the weight of the arm and also form a barrier to help prevent you turning onto that side during the night.

If you have bursitis pain in your knee, trying placing a small pillow underneath your knee when lying on your back. This will keep the joint in a neutral position, reducing discomfort and allowing you to
get off to sleep.

If you have bursitis pain in your hip and you like to sleep on your side, try placing a pillow between your knees. This can help to keep the pelvis in a neutral position, which may be more comfortable and allow you to get some sleep.

There is so much information out there on the internet it can be really tempting to search for exercises for bursitis pain, especially when you are frustrated and want to do something about the pain.
